My Gut Story

The left photo is me back in February 2021 after I did my Daniel Fast. The right is me now, 5 months later.


Backstory


I have never had acne in my entire life… I was one of the lucky ones that may get a pimple here or there during her period.


However after December 2020, I decided to do my FIRST ever spiritual detox— and boy did it cause an imbalance in my gut.


Not the fast itself but the over load of fiber, and raw foods was causing my body to get backed up.


Then to add insult to injury I did something you should never do.. go back to old eating habits too fast and ate food I KNEW would cause further irregularities, like diary and eggs.


This has been an up and down journey for the past 5 years of my life.. I'v always had stomach issues. In the past I’ve been able to get back on track by going vegan but this was a whole new beast


So how did I get from point 1 to point 2?


I hired a holistic doctor who helped me get down to the nitty gritty of what actually causes inflammation in my gut.


This process was NOT easy. I've been depressed, I’ve lost 20 lbs in this process, and had to limit myself on things I love (beer, cake and wine).


Fast forward to now... I know what works in my body and I have the the tools and resources to not only continue to keep my gut in check but to help other women who've struggled like me!
